The  Concert given by local young musician on Sunday 31ST JAN. 2010 in St. Peter’s church in support of the Haitian earthquake victims raised a magnificent £1065 to fund Shelter Boxes - an initiative supported by the local Rotary. 
Each box costs £450 and contains a tent for 10 people, thermal blankets and waterproof groundsheets, a stove, cooking equipment, tools and a children’s pack. At the time 930 Shelter Boxes had already been flown out by Virgin Airways, with a further 1000 being packed.
